The ROBOLOT educational robotics competition is held for the 10th time

Over 100 participants from all over Catalonia took part at this year’s competition and for the first time the contest welcomed teams from Madrid, Segovia and Malaga.

17/10/2011

The 10th ROBOLOT competition was held on 15 and 16 October in the town of Olot (Garrotxa County).

The President of the Prince of Girona Foundation (PGiF), Mr Antoni Esteve, opened the educational robotics training event, which is addressed to secondary school and vocational training students and teachers. The educational robotics competition was held on the second day. The Mayor of Olot, Mr Josep Maria Corominas, the Vice-President of the PGiF, Mr Josep Lagares, and the General Manager of the PGiF, Ms Mònica Margarit, all closed the event.

Encouraging a vocation in science and technology is a strategic cornerstone of the Foundation's work, and ROBOLOT has become an excellent event for arousing young people's interest in and concern for all kinds of scientific disciplines and for encouraging their entrepreneurial spirit.
