The call for entries for the 2018 FPdGi Awards is open. Candidacies must be submitted before 30 October

The Princess of Girona Foundation has opened the submission period for candidacies for the 2018 FPdGi Awards. People or organisations interested in participating in this new edition of the awards must submit their candidacy before 30 October

The FPdGi is launching the Princess of Girona Foundation Awards with the aim of promoting and fostering initiative and effort, scientific research and artistic creativity, solidarity and the development of talent in young entrepreneurs and innovators who are driven to build a more just world in a globalised setting, and who have the capacity to take risks and the necessary motivation to bring about changes in society.

A total of five awards will be presented: four individual prizes for young people (aged between 16 and 35) who undertake a project, launch a business, or begin an endeavour, especially one that involves difficulty or risk, that is capable of creatively inducing positive changes in society, and another prize for an organisation that works for young people, especially in fostering entrepreneurial spirit, employability and workplace integration, education and academic success, vocation and talent. 

The awards in detail

Princess of Girona Foundation Social Award (individual): Designed to recognise young social entrepreneurs with projects that foster the integration of marginalised groups or those at risk of exclusion.

Princess of Girona Foundation Scientific Research Award (individual): Designed to recognise young scientists (including human and social scientists) with outstanding projects or research experiences in their discipline that are enterprising, innovative and show strong potential for future development.

Princess of Girona Foundation Arts and Literature Award (individual): Designed to recognise talented young people involved in promising work in any discipline of the arts and literature, and which serves as an example and inspiration for other young people. In the 2018 edition this award will be open to candidacies from anywhere in the European Union

Princess of Girona Foundation Business Award (individual): Designed to recognise young people who show entrepreneurial initiative in the execution of an original and viable business project.

Princess of Girona Foundation International Award: Designed to recognise the outstanding work of an organisation from an European Union country that works for young people, especially one which fosters entrepreneurial spirit, employability and workplace integration, education and academic success, vocation and talent.
