Mohamed El Amrani, 2014 FPdGi Social Award

Awarded for his exemplary character, his attitude of positive communication, his inclusive nature, his community work and his capacity to find small solutions to large problems.

Mohamed El Amrani (Morocco, 1992) is the creator of the Associació Xarxa de Convivència de Roses (Roses Coexistence Association Network), thanks to which the European University of Madrid and the International Youth Foundation presented him with the National Young Social Entrepreneur Award. The Xarxa de Convivència is aimed at young people at risk of social exclusion or who come from dysfunctional families, above all immigrants with integration problems and, in general, anyone who supports the idea of a cohesive society. Mohamed also collaborates with different media. He has written articles for the weekly newspaper Empordà, been a presenter-reporter for Empordà Television (creating informative youth programmes to encourage active participation) and written for the magazines Secundèria and L'Hiperbòlic. Currently, Mohamed is a presenter on Spanish National Radio 4, on a programme that aims specifically to discover young people leading social initiatives in Catalonia.
