The Alliance for Dual Vocational Education

The Alliance for Dual Vocational Education have the objective of creating a national network of institutions and companies committed to developing high-quality Dual Vocational Education in Spain, as well as bringing together the best initiatives and experiences that are being carried out in this area

The Alliance is a national network of institutions and companies committed to developing high-quality Dual Vocational Education in Spain, promoted by the Bertelsmann Foundation, together with the Princess of Girona Foundation, the Spanish Confederation of Employers’ Organizations (CEOE) and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce.

The creation of this network seeks to improve the employability of Spain’s young people, help businesses to find professionals with the right training to meet their real needs and bring together all the best initiatives and experiences being carried out in order to benefit everyone.

Beyond these global aims, the Alliance for Dual Vocational Education promotes four specific and strategic objectives:

  • Building a model of high-quality Dual Vocational Education.
Extend the Dual Vocational Education model, guaranteeing learning quality in companies.
  • Involve small and medium-sized businesses in Dual Vocational Education.
Create collaboration and the necessary support to allow small and medium-sized businesses to provide Dual Vocational Education and offer learning positions.
  • Improve the existing legal framework.
Ensure that the experience of the companies, centres and institutions introducing Dual Vocational Education is used to review and improve existing national and regional regulations.
  • Boost the social standing of Vocational Training, and particularly Dual Vocational Education.
Promote the acceptance and adoption of the Dual Vocational Education learning model by society in general and particularly by companies.
