Ex-president of UNICEF Spain

Consuelo Crespo graduated inBiological Sciences from the University of Barcelona, and has a master’s in International Cooperation, Peace and Development within the framework of the United Nations at the University of the Basque Country.

She was president of UNICEF in the Basque Country from 1993 to 2005, going on to become president of UNICEF Spain, a position she held until 2014. From 2010 to 2014 she was listed among the top 100 Female Leaders in Spain and among the top 100 executives in the Merco report on corporate reputation. In addition, she has served on the juries for several corporate social responsibility awards (2003-2010), and was a member of the jury for the Prince of Asturias Awards for International Cooperation (2007-2010). She has also sat on the Governing Council of the University of Deustoand been a lecturer for the master’s in International Cooperation at Barcelona, the Basque Country and Madrid’s Complutense universities.

She is currently an independent director for the Tubacex Group and is a member of its Appointments and Remuneration Committee, as well as serving on the boards of the Tubacex Foundation, the Deusto Business School, Oxfam Intermón, and the Boscana Foundation. She is founding partner and vice-president of the Círculo de Orellana association, member of the Princess of Girona Foundation’s Advisory Council and independent director for Mediaset España, as well as president of its Appointments and Remuneration Committeesince December 2017. Between 2008 and 2014 she was also an independent director forAcciona, S.A. and a member of its Sustainability Committee.
