Workshops, talks and lots of talent. These are the ingredients of the annual ‘Talent rescuers’ meeting being held on 29 June at Hotel Camiral (Caldes de Malavella, Girona). More than 200 young people from different regions of Spain will be taking part in this event focused on improving employability which starts at 9.15 am with a welcome from the president of the Princess of Girona Foundation, Francisco Belil, and a talk by cyborg anthropologist Amber Case, who will reflect on ‘calm technology’ and the dangers of leaving too many important things in the hands of technology. Case specialises in human-computer interaction, and in how our relationship with information is changing the way in which cultures think, act and understand their worlds.
