Salvador Tasqué, new director general of the FPdGi

Last Thursday 1 July, coinciding with the 2020-2021 FPdGi Awards ceremony at CaixaForum in Barcelona, the ordinary meeting of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, under the presidency of HM the King, approved the appointment of Salvador Tasqué as Director General of the Foundation (replacing Mònica Margarit Ribalta).

01/07/2021

Until now director of In-house Business for Fira de Barcelona and member of the Executive Committee, Tasqué has extensive experience in both the industrial and service sector. He joins the Princess of Girona Foundation as its new director general after working for leading companies such as Procter & Gamble and Fira de Barcelona, where he held executive positions in the supply chain, business development and marketing areas. He graduated as a chemical engineer from the IQS School of Engineering and has a master’s in Business Management and another in Digital Marketing, in addition to other specialised training received from IESE Business School.

Salvador Tasqué’s appointment coincides with the aim of promoting a new phase of growth at the Foundation that seeks to further raise its profile and social impact on young people through new development programmes, new international alliances and greater digital presence, among other initiatives.

Firmly capable of innovating, transforming and leading organisations, Tasqué has been an active member of AFE – the Spanish Trade Fairs Association – and of UFI – the Global Association of Exhibitions Industry. He also has many years’ experience as a business school teacher (ESADE).
